The Board of Trustees of POSTECH invites nominations for and expressions of interest in the position of President.

The eighth president of POSTECH shall lead the university to becoming a world’s top global university in the field of science and technology. The appointment to the eighth President, which is four year-term, will be effective on September 1, 2019.

POSTECH (Pohang University of Science and Technology) was founded in 1986 by the world-leading steel company, POSCO, as Korea’s first research-oriented university. Holding true to its founding tenets, POSTECH has relentlessly dedicated itself to nurturing the nation’s brightest minds, conducting pioneering research, and standing at the forefront of academia-industry collaboration. In its pursuit, POSTECH has marked meaningful milestones in the advancement of Korea’s higher education as well as science and technology. As POSTECH is now poised to rise to international prominence, the POSTECH Board of Trustees is searching for an outstanding leader who will move the university forward.

A successful candidate must have the vision, commitment and leadership skills to help POSTECH fulfill its mission and achieve supreme performance as a world-class university of science and technology. He/she will not only have strong management abilities but also successful professional career in his/her academic/research field.
